Blessed: God & Humans in Genesis

To be blessed is to know the promise of God, “I will be with you.” (Genesis 26:3). God spoke creation into being, blessed it, and called it good. When humans turned away from God, he continued to offer his blessing to humanity through Abraham and his family, with the promise that someday through them, “all peoples on earth will be blessed.” (Genesis 12:3). In the book of Genesis, we learn that God is faithful to love us even when we rebel against him. Today we are living in the blessing that God has given us through Jesus Christ - his presence with us through the Holy Spirit. In our series, “Blessed: God & Humans in Genesis”, we will spend 8 weeks exploring the major characters and themes of the book of Genesis so we can better understand God’s faithful character and our own need for his blessing.
