Mission Opportunities
Our Purpose
1. Form Partnerships with local, regional, and global mission opportunities (based upon Acts 1:8 "Judea, Samaria, Ends of the Earth") with a focus on developing relationships for long-term impact
2. Facilitate Understanding within the congregation of the purpose of missions while encouraging the Great Commission. Inspire the congregation to be active in the Kingdom's Mission Field.
3. Discern through prayer (and surrender to) God's plan for Trinity for our role in the Kingdom's Mission Field
As Methodists we are called to be a Both/And people (focusing on compassion/justice ministries as well as evangelism and disciple making)
About us
The Mission Team meets on the third Monday of each month at 7 pm in Room 15. New members are welcome - and members of the congregation are welcome to attend any meeting if they are interested in a particular project, etc.
Contacts
Lisa Foster and Heather Keller are co-leads for the team and encourage people to reach out with questions or interest in an event.
Trinity is partnering with Children to Love to travel to Thailand June 17 - 29, 2027. We will support that organization’s ministry there for Burmese refugees (fleeing ongoing conflict in Myanmar) at the Grace Boarding House (orphanage), and the dump area in Mae Sot where many refugees live. We will also be assisting with worship and outreach by the Mae Sot Evangelical church in this predominantly Buddhist country. Our goal will be: “Providing Hope for Suffering Children in the Name of Jesus”. Click on the following link to learn more about the ministry CTL - Thailand.
Trinity’s Thailand mission team is currently seeking up to three additional members and asking for prayers as we prepare for this mission through learning about the culture, language and ministry we will be participating in. If you would like to support the Thailand Mission Team through an electronic financial donation on our website. Click here and then select Missions from the list.
